Fans of .38 Special's "Hold On Loosely" and "Caught Up In You," arguably two of the finest rock songs of the 1980s, won't find what they're looking for with this '04 release. Heavy, bluesy and raunchy, Drivetrain sounds like a post-Ronnie Van Zant Skynyrd album more than the perfectly harmonized AOR of yore.
