The joint venture of Dego MacFarlane and Mark Mac since the mid-'80s, 4 Hero have always been on the forward frontier of dance music. They established their career with meticulously crafted breaks that can slice through an all-night flight like a samurai sword, and they can soften the blow with gentle beats that guide you on your way to a peaceful comedown. Their perfect fusion of hip-hop, jazz, techno and electro lets all the disparate sounds fall comfortably into the mix. With their label, Reinforced, 4 Hero have become one of the most known and respected names in Jungle through the '90s. And well they should. Their jungle output is a tiring lap-swim through treacherous waves of samples and loops crashing into each other, destabilizing the center with ill effect. 4 Hero continue to create music that propels bodies through space, and genres through time.
