Lisa Loeb

This follow-up to 2002's For the Kids, a rather successful indie take on kids music, goes lighter on the big names but, if possible, even heavier on the dreaminess. Who cares if Lisa Loeb's "Catch the Moon" was written for kids? Anybody with a soul is going to lose herself in that lovely song, or in Ambrosia Parsley's lackadaisical "Everybody Came." The big names -- Jason Mraz and They Might Be Giants among them -- sound great, but they don't hold as much interest as some of the lesser-knowns. Have you heard Sarah Harmer? You should. So should your kid. Check it out.
