Though he's strictly a curator, Peanut Butter Wolf's personality is evident throughout this comp. From Cx Kidtronik's kitschy "Big Girl, Skinny Girl" (a Miami bass piss-take) to the infantile braggadocio of four-year-old emcee (and son of DJ Babu) Niko on "Now You Know," the compilation is quirky and fun, banking off stylistic mismatches and novelty mishaps. Of course, things do get serious when MF Doom and Guilty Simpson show up to remix Dilla's "Mash," and the introduction of Karriem Riggins and Madlib's group Supreme Team on the propulsive "See (Suite)" is promising.
