For a show about death, the soundtrack to the final Six Feet season begins on a surprisingly upbeat note. Instead of exploiting the expected themes (at least it's a cover of "Reaper"), the focus here is on the kinds of hipster acts that would appeal to Claire and her art school friends. Contains new tracks by Arcade Fire, Jem, Interpol and the Caesars.

Although Interpol's "Direction" disappoints with tedious repetition, Six Feet Under's second
soundtrack installment includes worthier exclusive cuts from the Arcade Fire and Jem that
suit the show's close familiarity. Well-selected chestnuts from Nina Simone and Irma Thomas
sit comfortably alongside Radiohead and Coldplay, but Caesars' otherwise respectful cover
of "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" inexplicably lacks cowbell.
