The Rolling Stones

Martin Scorsese is a stylistic innovator in using pop songs in movies, going back all the way to 1967's Who's That Knocking At My Door, his first feature film. The Departed (2006) continues that tradition with stellar songs from the Rolling Stones, Badfinger, the Beach Boys, Roy Buchanan, and the Allman Brothers. Howard Shore's score for the film is represented by the final two tracks (and can be heard in full on a separate disc).
