The silver-screen adaptation of graphic novel The Watchmen is accompanied by Nat King Cole's "Unforgettable," Billie Holiday's "You're My Thrill" and Janis Joplin's "Me and Bobby McGee," among others. Those who read the book know exactly where and why those songs fit. But for those less religious, the story flashes back to the '60s and '70s, so gems from Jimi Hendrix and KC & the Sunshine Band are consistent with the era. And what's more, the book includes a vital quote from Bob Dylan's "Desolation Row," which My Chemical Romance put their stamp on.
