Stone was one of the first neo-soul singers on the scene, but she hasn't had the same chart impact as those who've followed her lead. Maybe that's why such heavy-hitters as Snoop Dogg, Floetry, and Anthony Hamilton are on hand to help put her over the top with this mix of silky 1970s soul and tight hip-hop touches.

Soulstress Angie Stone makes well-meaning adult-geared R&B, but unlike most of her peers,
she injects her music with bawdy bravado. Unfortunately, her third album is languorous to
