Arthur Russell

A composite of tracks from two unreleased albums the cellist/singer/songwriter/disco producer worked on in the years before his death. "The Platform…" is reason enough to devote yourself entirely to this forgotten visionary: Russell's naive voice and inventive use of the cello create an amniotic environment that's as warm and comforting and it is strange and isolating.
