Arthur Russell

Most output from the Audika label spotlights Russell's explorations into minimalism and arty shenanigans. Springfield, however, is all about dance jammers, albeit dance jammers produced by one of club music's most idiosyncratic talents. To make Russell's influence on modern disco freaks explicit, Audika has even included a remix of the title track from the DFA team. It's cool and all, but first check out "See My Brother, He's Jumping Out (Let's Go Swimming #1)." It's totally epic.
