The blissful old-timey fingerpicking of Austin's Asylum Street Spankers is perfectly suited to children's music. This may not do much for the youngest little listeners, but the happy jump of songs such as "Training Wheel Rag" has an appeal that extends pretty far up the age ladder. And unlike most Asylum Street Spankers albums, there's no language you'd have a hard time explaining to your kindergartener. Hot stuff.
