Aterciopelados

A five-year hiatus gave Andrea Echeverri enough time to have a baby and release a pretty wonderful solo album, and Hector Buitrago got his own solo project underway as well. But Aterciopelados has always been more than the sum of its parts, and this return to the fold finds the group mellower than their "Florecita Rockera" days but still in fine form. Echeverri's voice pours down like warm butter, while the duo's increasingly spiritual (though still political) concerns find some outlet here.
