These Intelligent Techno pioneers infused the austere Detroit Techno sound with complexity and head-spinning playfulness. Hard Electro and Techno beats are agitated into the complexity of footfalls on a playground blacktop during recess. While the hopscotch rhythms generate complexity, they create lush grooves that constantly evolve. Dreamy synths establish a sometimes eerie, sometimes blissful haze of electronic textures as gentle melodies timidly peer into the mix, too sweet and shy to control the track, but warm enough to balance the forceful beats.
