Backyard Tire Fire

It's kind of funny that Backyard Tire Fire's singer starts off the song "Tom Petty" with the line, "I wanna be Tom Petty" because "Undecided" sounds like he wants to be Jeff Tweedy. Either BTF somehow mustered up enough money to hire Wilco's frontman to sing his quirky, scratchy inflections on the Moog laden "Undecided" or their singer has studied Tweedy's vocal style (and songwriting formulas) hard enough to pull out a near-perfect imitation. Thankfully, "Green Eyed Soul" puts the band back on the right track with some distorted country rock, which is really what they're better suited for.
