Banco de Gaia

Never one to shy from blending music with politics, Banco's Toby Marks returns to Last Train to Lhasa territory, but this time looks at "Ferengistan" (a Central Asian word referring to the western world's materialism and untrustworthiness). "Kara Kum" and "Ynys Elen" still sound like vintage banging Banco, but "The Harmonious G8" best expresses the key sentiments of this album, using multinational vocalists improvising and working together to achieve a lovely choral work.
