Barry Manilow had an amazing range and even more amazing hair, but perhaps what is most amazing is the way this album crossed over from the vocal pop world to the mainstream. In 1978, every single person in America was singing along with Lola and Rico's tragic story ("Copacabana"), but there were other hit songs here that don't get played so much anymore, most notably "Somewhere In the Night" and the impossibly catchy "Can't Smile Without You." This expanded version of the album includes one previously unreleased track.
