Three years after Crazy Itch Radio, Basement Jaxx return with a teaser for their 2009 album, Scars. The beat is as club-friendly as anything from their days in the underground, while the sonics suggest a hiatus spent prowling Third World flea markets. And yet this four-minute anthem is pop to the bone. Stuffed with sitars, soap-bubble chords and filter-disco riffs, and slathered in honeyed Auto-Tune, "Raindrops" sounds like a pan-global meltdown of pure joy.
