This 1983 album signaled a change in atmosphere from something heavy and ragged into something quieter yet no less bleak. With more acoustic guitar and a further dub influence, the band create some of the most affecting music of their career. Their cover of Brian Eno's "Third Uncle" is dead-on and "All We Ever Wanted" is a glimpse of Love & Rockets.
