Bebo Norman

Bebo Norman's new album opens with not much new, but it's real appeal is in that quiet dependability. The single, "I Will Lift My Eyes," is slightly anthemic with "Bring Me to Life" almost as strong. "The Way We Mend" sounds like it could have been written by Mary Chapin Carpenter and "To Find My Way to You" carries the secrets of Norman goodness in its ambling pace. He's tested musical recipes with varying measurements of rock, pop and folk, and on his fifth offering he's found the right mix, delivering an understated set whose strength is its Americana minimalism.
