Ben Harper throws a curveball on Will to Live, adding elements of Led Zep and Hendrix to his acoustic-based sound. Harper's greatest gift is his ability to meld a variety of seemingly unrelated genres and make them sound natural along side each other. Fans of Harper's "before" sound may not appreciate this CD for the genre-hopping work of genius that it is.
