Black Dice

It's amazing to think this is the same band that brought us Beaches and Canyons and Creature Comforts, two heavenly slices of krautrock-inspired indietronica. Repo, in contrast, is all about crusty mutant breakbeats and groovy afro-freak rhythms. Dense and utterly frenetic, most of this stuff sounds like some kind of long-lost transmission from a Martian discotheque. That said, Repo boasts some deeply hypnotic jams, namely "Idiots Pasture," "La Cucaracha" and the killer closer "Chicken Sh*t."
