Blue Foundation

Copenhagen's Blue Foundation may wear their influences on their sleeve: here's a little bit of vintage New Order, some Pet Shop Boys, and hanging over it all, the warm, fuzzy patina of shoegazing electronica. Breathy boy/girl vocals give the songs an intimate feel, as shimmering guitars and acoustic elements flesh out a rhythm section schooled in '80s alt-rock's controlled burn. Title aside, Life of a Ghost isn't so much haunting as it is melancholy -- but in a decidedly feel-good way.
