Bon Jovi

Buoyed by his surprise country hit (a duet with Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles), Jon Bon Jovi is once again channeling his inner cowboy. In the Bon Jovi tradition, Lost Highway still banks on fist-pumping anthems; the main difference is in the instrumentation – a bit of dobro here and a fiddle or a mandolin there. But country or not, the songwriting is superb, and many of these tunes are future hits waiting to be covered by "proper" country stars: "Whole Lot of Leaving" would be a hit if Keith Urban sang it, and "Summertime" would top the charts if Kenny Chesney recorded it.

Bet you didn't notice, but Bon Jovi had a Number One country hit last year. The Jersey
boys remade "Who Says You Can't Go Home" as a duet with the great Jennifer Nettles of
Sugarland and watched it turn into a much bigger hit than the rock version. Which means
