British Sea Power

Do you like rock music? Perhaps in an effort to define what "rock" really is, the Brighton boys of British Sea Power titled their third release with just this question, leaving any listener with an expectation that these guys better absolutely rock it. Here, the band attempts to do just that, performing several songs from the album at Rhapsody's 2008 Austin showcase. With a bit of grunge in their spitty vocals, post-punk in their anthemic crescendos and baroque in their use of horns and violin, if you define rock music as raw, tense, playful and a little erratic, these guys are just that.
