To travel through the weird, wonderful world of Bruce Haack is to explore the surrealist possibilities between analog sound experiments and children's music. His music is a playfully simple pairing of spoken word and vocals over synth melodies and sound effects. However, working with the short attention span of children, Haack produces broken moralistic narratives that never resolve, conclude nor state their moral clearly. Adult voices give instructions to games with no clear purpose or direction, creating pure play. Jubilant melodies run like a classroom exploding onto the recess yard. Dystopian android lullabyes. Perfect for a sing-along if you have a vocoder at the campfire.
