Bruce Haack

Haackula was supposed to be released all the way back in 1978, but for reasons not readily known it was delayed by exactly 30 years. Still, Mr. Haack sounds way ahead of our time. "Party Machine," an eight-minute foray into vocoder-soaked disco pop, could easily be mixed in with uber-hip electro like Crystal Castles and ADULT. Unlike his other albums, Haackula is dark, dystopian and laced with sexually explicit lyrics. Now that's kind of strange for a guy who also made children's music.
