Best known for their signature 1985 anthem, "Word Up," Cameo have churned out albums flaunting their patented electro-funk jams for well over 20 years. Like P-Funk, Zapp and Lakeside, they also helped to inspire a generation of hip-hop artists. This compilation is a good overview of their prime material, and proof positive that they're no one-hit wonder.
