These postgrunge scenesuckers aren't total pop-metal conformists--they're a tad more intense, with sharper drumming. Their chief distinction is that at 2.5 mill they'll probably outsell the artist-cum-label-owner who set siege to Seattle to sign them--the one we hoped would next re-create herself as a visionary entrepreneur.
