Cherish

About

Cherish have had kind of an advantage over other RnB girl groups since day one -- and it's not their early connection to Jermaine Dupri, who produced the quartet's first single, "Miss P," in 2003. In fact, although that single did well and Cherish earned a record contract with Warner, their debut album was permanently shelved, and the girls had to wait a few years for their stars to properly shine. Nor is the advantage these girls have that they happened to be young, hip and living in Atlanta in the heyday of snap music during the mid-2000s, which led to their second single, 2006's Top-20-charting "Do It to It," and a viral instructional internet video demonstrating how to snap dance. Nope, Cherish's advantage is the fact that the girls in this girl group are sisters, so childhood was kind of like pop-star training for Farrah, Neosha and twins Felisha and Fallon King, who started singing together when they were between the ages of two and six. After leaving Warner album-less, the sisters signed with Capitol and released Unappreciated in 2006 and The Truthin 2008.
