Chet Baker

Baker's first foray into singing was considered something of a joke in 1954; today it's considered a classic. The tracks are on so many comps that the impact of the original set is somewhat diminished, but that doesn't detract from the charm of the tunes or the session as a whole. Baker would actually become a better singer but this one definitely has a special magic.
