About

A New Jersey emcee world-renowned for his skills with the punchlines, Chino XL got his start in the pioneering horrorcore group the Art Of Origin in the early '90s. They were signed to Rick Rubin's Def American label, releasing two singles and recording an album that never came out. After splitting from his partner/producer, Chino took some time off to hone his skills and refocus. The result was his '96 solo debut, Here To Save You All, an endlessly quotable dis fest that verbally shreds a vast assortment of public figures, both inside and outside the hip-hop arena. Since then he's dropped a few 12-inches and is set to release his much-anticipated follow-up, I Told You So, in 2001.
