Chris Cornell

With an impressive 23 years in the rock biz, Chris Cornell can pretty much do whatever he wants. While his second solo release looks to the bands of his past, with spurts of grungy Soundgarden riffs and lyrics that yearn for a better world a la Temple of the Dog, he takes advantage of total creative control by getting a little groovy, a little cheesy and even a little Michael Jackson-y on us (yep, that's a bluesy cover of "Billie Jean"). Topped with his unmistakable, strong-as-ever vocals, it's an interesting and fun evolution for this veteran rocker.
