With songs ranging from frantic and harsh to brooding and lethargic, Clikatat Ikatowi's work can be an exhausting listening experience. The listener might also be subject to paranoid fantasies, shooting glances behind himself, hoping to catch a glimpse of the thing chasing him. As guitars swing, pound, scream and bend, he feels his muscles burning and realizes that he is running low on will and time. Yet Mario Rubalcaba's drums call up all of his reserves, pushing him forward in one final, frantic lunge. Art Punk of the best sort.
