Representing the smoother side of Acid Jazz, Count Basic are often heard in
the company of such like-minded artists as Galliano, Incognito and the Young
Disciples. Based in Austria (yet critically acclaimed worldwide), this act
unites the talents of guitarist Peter Legat and soul vocalist Kelli Sae.
Originally known for their jazz instrumentals, Count Basic began
incorporating a more distinctive pop flavor with a heavier R&B influence on
later albums such as Bigger & Brighter. In 2000, Downtempo heroes
Kruder & Dorfmeister injected a playful tone to some Count Basic songs with
Count Basic: Peter Kruder & Richard Dorfmeister Remixes.
