Brothers from Different Mothers is the perfect title. Dailey & Vincent's soaring harmonies (which could leap over Mt. Everest in a single bound) recall America's classic brother duets: the Louvins, Jim & Jesse, the Blue Sky Boys, the Monroes, etc. Nevertheless, spin "You Ought to Be Here with Me" and "Years Ago," and you'll notice the duo's phrasing is also influenced by modern country pop. In fact, the album's last tune, "On the Other Side," is a straight-up nod to Music City U.S.A. of the 21st century.
