Respected throughout the world for his DJ skills and legendary remixes, David Morales assumed legendary status alongside compatriots Frankie Knuckles, Junior Vasquez and Todd Terry as an overseer of the Disco/House changeover. Currently one of the most highly paid remixers in dance music, Brooklyn-born Morales remixed for the likes of such chart toppers as Mariah Carey, Madonna, U2, Tina Turner, Bjork, and Michael and Janet Jackson. Though his reworkings lean toward the mid-tempo, Morales showcases his tougher tendencies as a DJ. Chart-busting anthems, designed to fling crowds into sweaty oblivion, are slick, bass-heavy and touched with a soulful, classy sensibility.
