Daz Dillinger

One of the West Coast's pioneering producer/emcees returns with a track that will imbue listeners with a sense of déjà vu. Thomas, Tyrone & the Whole Darn Family's "Seven Minutes of Funk" sample is once again trotted out as "Daz Thang"'s bass anchor. Though it is undoubtedly infectious, and Dillinger adorns it with some cute and twinkling synth sounds, it's all too familiar, having been used and reused by everyone from Jay Z to Grandmaster Flash. Still, it's nice to see one of the West's best still at it.
