Del Shannon

It may be easy to write Del Shannon off as a one trick pony for his lone claim to fame, "Runaway," which came out way back in 1961. But, like Dion Dimucci, Del Shannon's ability to wrap his voice around a song, hitting angelic highs and dramatic, guttural lows, makes the ones that aren't obvious filler at the very least an entertaining listen. "Misery," "Jody," and "His Latest Flame" are all worth checking out here.
