For all the Death Metal and Grindcore on Earache Records, few of them come close to the auricular violence of Dave Rodgers' Delta 9. Gabba beats and Metal riff samples lay a shaky foundation for a storm of hellish distortion. Taunting cartoonish raps drown in horrifying screams. Synths snap back and forth between blasts of white noise and strangled acid effects. This is Techno taken to its limit before the beats fall away like cancered limbs, leaving only the rotting carcass of Power Noise.
