Rhapsody

The Mode are back, and nothing can stop them. This first outing from 2005's Playing the Angel shows why they continue to dominate as the gods of stadium electronica. Dave Gahan's perfectly mournful vocal delivery holds the deliciously melancholy tune over a driving beat, contrasting nicely with the cheery piano descant, implying there is some light in the darkness.
