On their Logan Mader-produced fourth studio album, DevilDriver blend thrash standards with a modern death metal aesthetic, further shedding their nu-metal association. Opening Pray for Villains with the chugging title track, the band showcases calculated pacing in songs like "Pure Sincerity" and "Forgiveness Is a Six Gun," alongside shredders "Fate Stepped In" and "Waiting for November," epic guitars (especially on "Back With a Vengeance") and brazen lyrics ("I've Been Sober").
