Abandoning London's club scene to revolutionize the sound gracing San Francisco's hippest speakers, DJ Garth is part of the Bay Area's most respected group of dance floor maestros: the Wicked crew. In 1991, Garth founded the groundbreaking collective with such reputable West Coast names as Doc Martin, Jeno, Tony, Dano, EBE, Simon and Rasoul, each drawing on an eclectic range of musical influences to pay respect to dance music's past while formulating it's future. But this Grayhound label head is more than just a local favorite. As an artist, Garth demands full dance floor attention with a deep-ish House sound that relies on dubby basslines, hushed harmonies and melodic musings to create an atmosphere packed with feeling. Garth's drunken, full-bodied soundscapes set the late-night floor spinning in slow-motion like a posh restaurant with a rotating bar surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows.
