Master of moody indie-tronica Jimmy Tamborello returns with his third album under the Dntel moniker. Dumb Luck's haunting, downtempo glitch-pop balances cohesion and abstraction, with gently plucked acoustic guitar rising through digitized mist and fractured digital beats. Tamborello's boyish vocals sound lost and longing. He's attracted a slew of luminaries as guests this time out, including Jenny Lewis, Conor Oberst, and Mia Doi Todd, whose crystalline voice on "Rock My Boat" is the essence of beautiful alienation.
