Donald Fagen

After ten years of severe professional malaise, Fagen teamed up with old Steely Dan cohort Walter Becker for this cyberpunk concept album. The alien AIDS opus "Tommorrow's Girls" was the single, but "Snowbound" is the album's best cut. Fagen and Becker enjoyed the experience enough to reform Steely Dan after this.

If the firmament of pop were a high-school yearbook, Donald Fagen would qualify for
either class beatnik or class nerd. The sensibility he brought to Steely Dan and to his 1982
