Drunk bring together an arsenal of instruments to create music that still retains a vast spaciousness for you to fill in your own feelings of loneliness and despair. The songwriting is as bleak as only Hank Williams and a few others have dared to create, while the music is atmospheric and moody. With their instruments they capture the desolation of Walker Evans' photography, and with their words they give voice to lives damaged into mute isolation. Drunk provide a medium for the walking ghosts of this world. They do not simply make music; they have managed to expand the possibilities of human compassion, and whoever listens shares in their success.
