Elvis Costello

This ballet, Costello's first full-scale orchestral work, is based on Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream and stylistically blends mid-century jazz, impressionism and conventional orchestration into an array of short, colorful vignettes that easily lend themselves to the stage. Performed by the London Symphony Orchestra and guest conductor Michael Tilson Thomas.
