Enuff Z'Nuff

About

When it comes to glam metal, the collective music buying public has the memory of an elephant. More than ten years into their first break, Chicago's Enuff Z'nuff are now something of a cult curiosity. While it's true that they were contemporaries of bands like Poison, Warrant, et al, their songcraft was heads and tails above any of their peers. Rolling Stone dubbed them a band to watch in their "Hot Issue" for EZ's 1991 LP Strength. Main songwriters singer Donnie Vie and bassist Chip Z'nuff vibe off one another like a modern day Lennon-McCartney pairing. Throughout the years, the band has released a steady stream of CDs, each with a pinch of the pop metal sound that initially put them on the charts. What really keeps the diehards coming back for more is Vie's achingly beautiful voice atop nearly every simulacrum of Beatles' music -- from Hard Days' Night to The Beatles (aka The White Album).
