Etienne de Crecy also drove two disco-slanted projects of the 1990s:
Motorbass (with Philippe Zdar of the La Funk Mob fame) and Super Discount.
While Super Discount: The Album (1996) showcases de Crecy's
Disco/House mastery, a number of seductive, vocal-infused Downtempo tunes on
2001's Tempovision reveal his hip-hop fascination. Much celebrated by
critics and club heads alike, de Crecy's slick, ultra-polished tracks fall
right in line with contemporary dance acts Daft Punk, Cassius, Dimitri from
Paris and Air.
