Fred Hammond

Fred Hammond (of Commissioned fame) plays gospel R&B like an instrument -- just follow the bouncing voice. He's all over the place, riffing melodies and singing tenor on most tracks but also bellying the bass when called to. He takes choir classics like "Glory to Glory" and "No Weapon" and hits them with an R&B stick, which surprisingly makes for awfully smooth grooves.
