In what's shaping up to be a banner year for the emo concept record, Funeral For A Friend spins the tale of David, a fisherman who gets caught in a tempest and shipwrecked on a solitary island, as his wife Eleanor and daughter Isabelle await his return. The story driving this 10-track epic is every bit as familiar as the air-tight, angsty rock, which finds its nearest proxy in the Foo Fighters' first record.
